Jökulsárlón is a glacier lagoon where icebergs break off the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and drift towards the sea, and the neighbouring Diamond Beach is scattered with ice blocks on black sand. It is one of Iceland’s most striking places and a long way from Reykjavík: about 380 km each way, around 4.5 hours of driving in each direction. This private tour is for guests who want to see it in a single day, with a comfortable car or van, a local driver and short photo stops on the South Coast on the way. You choose how long to stay at the lagoon and the beach. The price is per vehicle, the same for a car or a van. Boat trips and ice cave visits are optional paid activities and not included.
An early start is needed for this long day.
