About Skarfabakki Cruise Port and the drive
Skarfabakki is the main cruise pier in Reykjavík, part of the Sundahöfn harbour east of the city centre near the Laugardalur valley. Large ships tie up here, and it is the port where many passengers start or end a cruise in Iceland. If your ship embarks in Reykjavík, you will probably fly into Keflavík and need to get yourself and your luggage to the quay; if it disembarks here, you face the same journey in reverse to catch your flight home.
A private transfer keeps that simple. From the Keflavík arrivals hall the driver takes Route 41 across the lava fields of the Reykjanes peninsula, through Hafnarfjörður and the southern suburbs, then around the city to the port. On cruise days the area around the terminal is busy with coaches and taxis, so we agree the exact drop-off or meeting point with you in advance and the driver knows where to go. For a disembarkation pick-up, send us your ship name and the time you expect to be off the ship.
Smaller cruise ships sometimes use the Old Harbour in the city centre instead of Skarfabakki, so check your cruise documents for the berth and tell us when you book.
